No, it doesn't. It's not turning, cracking, nor is it bouncy. Geoff Lawson, who knows a thing or two about bowling there, called it a batsmen's paradise, and the Australian captain said the piss-poor performance of his team has nothing to do with the pitch.

Anyway, with two days available to score 200 runs or get bowled out, this test will not finish with a draw.

The highest 4th innings run chase since they started using those drop-in pitches is about 180. There must be something there for the bowlers! :dunno:

Either way, 230 is not the lead we should have set given our start. I think 4-0 is the most likely outcome. :(

The bowlers simply did their job: good line and length. The batsmen simply did not. I go with what Lawson and Clarke said about the pitch, not just because they speak from experience, but also because I've been listening to the ball by ball radio commentary whenever I was not at work, which gave me the same impression.

I do agree that an Australian win is likely, but keep in mind that more surprising upsets have occurred in the past.

Well we got 1. 9 to go.

You should have more by now. Add poor fielding to England's less than stellar batting performance in this series.

Yep. Pretty glad I can only hear it on TMS. If I had to watch some of the dross I've been hearing about, I think I'd be a blubbering wreck by now!

Lunch now. Still a mere nine wickets to go, or a massive 88 runs to get. :hehe: The gates to the MSG have been thrown open, so the test is clearly expected to finish well before the end of the day. :gloat:

All over. There's going to be some backlash over this series. Our best chance to win and we end up trounced. :nono:

Well done, Australia.

Excellent batting by Rogers, to get a century at his home ground...

Johnson ended up with man of the match - could have been Rogers, but never mind...

And now to Sydney...

England had Australia on the rack. 95/5. So what has happened since? Yeah, they take their foot off the gas and let Haddin and Smith get a partnership going. Same old story. Another wicket needed soon, guys!

Honestly, I don't know what the fuck we would have done without Haddin in this series. Consistently good glove work, and steadfastly to the rescue with the bat when the top order crumbles...

Now 5/201...

Shame he's not 10 years younger. Not going to around for many more test series.
