Old tapes

Post by Svartalf » Sun Nov 03, 2013 7:39 pm

It's been months, nay, over a year, that my CD player gave up the ghost... but it's only today that I started digging in my old cassette collection (not that it was far or hard to get to)... I'm listening again to golden oldies on the Harp... The sound still is surprising ly good after so long a disuse.

I'll be sad when my next sound system comes without any cassette deck at all.

A small fruit fly caught in amber would smell as sweet as my old cassette collection. If it was still around.

I have not played music on a cassette for years. I do have a couple of rare albums on cassette. But I kept the boom box to play family interviews. People long since dead. The cassettes and player are in an Office Max box.

Mine ll be gone only when I no longer have a player, which could be quite soon, as those are becoming incredibly hard to get.

Cassettes, I have a few, but then again, too few to mention...

Amazon has a collection of Cd-cassetteplayers. They are more reliable as radios than radio iPod docks.

I destroyed all mine years ago, throwing what I could into the recycling bin.

I haven't played music on a CD for years. Any new CD gets ripped straight to FLAC + MP3.
