Studies have shown a health boost for religion - true or not could a return to a Day of Rest including no unnecessary driving etc by secularists slow global warming and perhaps buy more time to solve the big issues....? a day of rest and reflection - thinking time.

Westerners' selfishness overrules their godliness. If it was a choice between a new LCD TV, or pleasing Jeebus, most would choose to work the extra hours to get the TV.

We'll see after the coming economic crash follows on from the completely bolloxed up global economic system, and withdrawal of life support 'fairy-magic monies' . I predict a complete system shut down - blue screen of economic death on a global scale and that'll be a chance to try some old tricks in a new way.

I keep the sabbath. Never do anything on the special day and quite often that extends throughout the week. It's a hardlife avoiding work.

I'm vaguely curious to see what the Sunday Assembly people do. There was meant to be one starting up in my town but I think it went quiet. I'd be interested to go along if it starts up again though.
