I just got back from seeing an international gypsy punk rock ensemble of awesomeness called Gogol Bordello.

AFAIK, their closest thing to a mainstream hit is a song called Start Wearing Purple.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get any pics because I I worked up too much of sweat from dancing and couldn't wipe the lens on my phone camera clean enough. It wasn't the kind of show you want to take a DSLR to either. It's just a bit too lively for that.

Anyway, they have one of my all time favorite sets of lyrics:

If we are here not to do
What you and I wanna do
And go forever crazy with it
Why the hell are we even here?

There was never any good old days
They are today, they are tomorrow
It's a stupid thing we say
Cursing tomorrow with sorrow
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
-Mr P

I've only been to a couple small free concerts put in by my town. But, Sunday I'm going to an awesome concert! Backstreet Boys, NKOTB, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men!!! :ab:
My sister bought us tickets! The awesome part is, my first ever concert was New Kids on the Block with my sister when I was 8!

Baby boomers at Eagles concert

They are sipping Bud Light and smoking electronic cigarettes on the balcony. Will there be intermission so the guys can go pee? Some of them saw the Eagles last 30-40 years ago. Rumor has it Don Henley is not on the tour. Who will sing Witchy Woman? Sounds like BS

My son's girl friend's Uncle Bernie wrote music to that. We don't know Bernie so no back stage passes. I dont gave binoculars to spot him on stage. Well it was not hard, he was 3rd on stage with Don and Glenn. Bald shiny head.

About 8 boomers got up in the Middle of the first set to go pee buy beer and smoke electronic cogarettes.

How on Earth can there be an Eagles concert without Don Henley? That'd be like watching the Who without Pete Townshend.

There wasn't, sounded fake. On the other hand there are bands that survived a few years with no original members, then one came back.

It's a brand rather than the actual band.
Sent from my Bollocksberry using Crapatalk.

Yeah. The Eagles brand was good tonight. I suspect Henley was a clone. Nobody can torture vocal chords like that year after year.

Joe Walsh did two solo hits of his plus In The City, for vocals. He did a lot of guitar parts though there was a hired hand guitarist too. They did the Hotel California guitar parts together.
