And India win. A thrilling match. The weather turned what was meant to be a 50 over competition final into a 20/20 slogfest. Mind you, half the matches or more have been played with reduced overs - got to love the British Summer.

England should have had that one in the bag but threw away wickets in exactly the way that India did in their innings. It was hard to call this match, the advantage switched with almost ever ball - dull game cricket, nothing ever happens... :tea:

Our new coach is a good'un - he'll get the lads revved up, ready to feast on English blood...

We don't want to fight but by Jingo if we do
We've got the batters, we've got the bowlers, we've got the catchers too
We've fought the 'roo before, and while we're Britons true
The Aussies shall not have the Ashes

What does the coach actually do?
He doesn't pick the team.
He doesn't direct play during the game.
He doesn't open the batting or the bowling.

What difference will it make that the eleven go out revved up by Darren Lehman rather than Micky Arthur?

I fear the Aussies are in for a sound hiding. No revving them up is going to turn them into a team that can beat England this year.

Keep singing. I'll join in when you get to the bit I know...

The coach needs to give an inspirational speech to motivate his players. :drama:

I think you may have missed the bit where I am anglo-indian living in Australia.
They never mentioned anything about having to support the aussie cricket team at my citizenship ceremony. :smug:
