Hannibal.
I'm sure someone mentioned this before, but could find nothing.
Is anyone watching this?
I've caught up on the first half of the series and I'm quite enjoying it. To me Hannibal Lecter (or Lecktor) was most interesting in Red Dragon (the book not the movie) because he was fucking with the protagonist and antagonist rather than being an erstwhile vampire as he was in the later books. To that end the crew have decided that was the most interesting dynamic too, which makes for tense viewing. The ludicrous and grotesque nature of the murderers and serial killers have a depressing weight about them, unlike playing it for grim but comedy value as with Dexter.
All in all not bad, not the best thing I've seen recently, but if you have spare time, it's worth a watch.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
