There's no real news here. They'd have spy cameras in every room our homes if they thought they could get away with it.

Yeah, but webcam hacking would only be practical when you have a small number of previously selected targets. Unlike audio which can be parsed into text and can be automagically scanned for keywords and phrases, webcams need to be tediously monitored by a live person. How many cameras can one person monitor at one time? Monitoring all audio communications is much more practical if you want to cast a big brother sized net around an entire country. All you need is access and several giant server farms - after that it runs itself.

Listen to how carefully parsed his words are here. He focuses on what he says the system DOESN'T do --- nobody -- in the present tense - IS listening to your calls. All that means is that for most of the billions of calls, nobody is listening in right at that moment. Big fucking deal! Of course there aren't people listening to billions of calls at the same time. Perhaps a few more people are waking up to the fact that many of us are living in a totalitarian fascist state. The ONLY thing that stands between people in the US & Britain & being shot on sight for any triviality is memory.

People haven't been quite enculturated yet in the new norms, they remember times when you had lots more freedom & less surveillance. There are still police & army who recall that they aren't supposed to beat passersby over the head & taser & pepper spray old ladies & school children. So that holds them back.

Given just another few years this new Bolshevik society will be in full swing. The older generation with nostalgic recollections of a prettier, more relaxed planet will have died or be too old to care, and the new NSA, FBI, & TSA (etc) will do as they please, with no attempt to hide the fact.

This most vile & criminal president that the United States has ever seen is a mere precursor to what is to come. He was hand picked to roll out this program to an even greater degree than George W. Bush. And the brainwashed sheeple swallowed the "Change we can believe in!" BS without retching. And even on these "rational" forums we see so many of the hoodwinked STILL affirming that the government & authorities are Divine Beings put here for our good & protection, & anything bad they might do are simply "mistakes" done by accident.
