This is, as I recall, essentially correct. I think the last time papal infallibility was invoked was during the reign of Pius XII, over something to do with the Immaculate Conception or some-such. It had something to do with Mary, anyway. Lemme wiki that... okay, I get half points, it was the Assumption of Mary, pronounced as dogma in 1950.

Technically, every pronouncement of a saint is considered to fall under the same heading.
