While conspiracy nuts are indeed wrong - wrong - wrong this line of reasoning doesn't work because these agencies do in fact routinely blunder their asses off. So much so that it is usually their mistakes that are used as evidence against their being the perpetrators of elaborate conspiracies aimed at world domination e.g. their activities reported in the Guardian. It is precisely because they would forget such a detail that they can't be expected to pull off what they've been accused of...wait, buwahahaha

You've ignored 4 critical aspects:
1) Compartmentalization.
2) Line of Command, pyramid structure.
3) Who gives a toss? Errors & mistakes are part of the FUN, & the daring-do.
4) The inclination of sheeple to accept whatever pap they're fed, without question. With just a 5 minute attention span
