I did read it carefully. I strongly urge you to go back and do the same.
Perhaps the following analogy will help you understand what Audley, I and others have been trying to say:
Imagine you went to a comedy club, and one of the comedians told a really REALLY bad, offensive and tasteless joke about rape.
Would you...
A) Boo him
B) Leave the club
C) Make a mental note not to bother listening to that particular comedian again
4) Go on the internet and write on your blog (which has a MUCH wider readership than the number of people who even know about the little comedy club) saying how the comedy club in question is a hive of racistsexisthomoxenophobia and urge all "right-minded" people to go there and see for themselves just how disgusting it is, then write in and tell you about how offended they were and if you like their letter, you won't delete it from the comments on your blog, then go on twitter and make some jokes about rape just for good measure.
It seems to me that a person who was thinking rationally would go for A, B, C, or some combination thereof.
But no.
You went for option 4.
IMHO, these are not the actions of someone who is thinking rationally, and certainly not the actions of someone who is actually serious about upholding the moral and ethical values which he claims prompted him to object to that joke in the first place.
