Not hardly. You flatter yourself.

In fact, if it wasn't for some people responding to your posts I doubt most of them would even be read. You rarely (if ever) contribute anything more than opinion, and usually vacuous, vitriolic, opinion.
Sounds like I've struck a nerve. I must be right.

I put your IQ at about 85, at best.
Well that would qualify me to get hold of firearms, scary
Best case scenario you accidentally shoot yourself, doing the gene pool a huge favor.

I see that the Mayor of New York received a ricin laced envelope from some gun nutters afraid he would take their toys away.

What is the psychology here, and how does it differ from the thinking of our resident gun nutters, Seth and Collector?

That figures you'd automatically assume it's a pro-gun person who did it and not somebody else who is fed up with all of the oppressive, nanny state shit he does.

An Ohio woman held a would-be burglar at gunpoint until police arrived, warning him, “if you move, you’re gonna go to the morgue.”

Tammy Takach of Steubenville was sleeping Thursday morning when a noise in her home woke her up. She told WPXI-TV she grabbed her gun and went downstairs to find an intruder who’d entered through a window holding an air conditioning unit. He begged her not to call the police.

“He stood up and put his hands up,” Takach told WTOV-TV. “He said, ‘I’m just going to go. I’m sorry,’ and I said, ‘The only place you’re going to go is jail, and if you move, you’re gonna go to the morgue, because I’m going to blow your f-ing head off.”

Takach kept the gun aimed at him the entire time until police arrived. Upstairs, Takach’s son was still asleep, completely unaware of what was happening.

Ryan Geary, 23, was arraigned Friday on charges of burglary and possessing criminal tools. If convicted, he could face up to nine years in prison.

Takach’s husband, Anson, said the family owns multiple firearms but that it was the first time his wife ever had to use one in a situation like that.

“We go to the range as much as we can. We own a lot of firearms,” Anson Takach told WTOV. “I’ve had extensive training with firearms, so I teach her and my son how to be responsible and to remain calm in situations like that.”

Audio: Alabama school bus driver died protecting kids from wacko gunman

MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (AP) — A six-day bunker hostage standoff in Alabama began with a school bus driver stubbornly refusing to hand over children as hostages despite threats from the gunman who killed him moments later, according to newly released recordings.

“It’s my responsibility to keep these kids on the bus. I can’t turn them over to somebody else,” bus driver Charles Poland said in a recording aired Friday by ABC News.

Days of tense talks between federal authorities and Jimmy Lee Dykes included the 65-year-old suspect cursing negotiators and ranting that his stand with his 5-year-old hostage would cause “chaos” in society and lead to riots, the recordings reveal.

“People are going be standing up to this (expletive) dictatorial, incompetent, self-righteous, bunch of sorry bastards in government,” Dykes said in recordings obtained by ABC News.

Members of an FBI hostage rescue team stormed Dykes’ underground bunker near Midland City in early February, killing the man before he harmed Ethan Gilman or detonated an improvised explosive that authorities said was in the 6-foot by 8-foot shelter.

The FBI confirmed the existence of the recordings but declined to immediately release the material to The Associated Press.

In interviews with ABC, FBI agents said they decided to raid the bunker after it became apparent that Dykes was handling weapons and an improvised explosive device inside the shelter more often than he had been at the beginning of the standoff.

Dykes apparently planned to have the child detonate the bomb if he was killed, said FBI Special Agent Steve Richardson.

“Jim Dykes relayed to the negotiators, ‘If anything happens to me, I have told Ethan to pull the trigger,’” Richardson said. “That meant he had told Ethan to detonate the IED, the second IED that was inside the bunker.”

Dykes snatched Ethan off a school bus driven by Charles Poland, 66, in late January, dragging the child into the bunker after fatally shooting Poland aboard the bus loaded with children.

The audio recording, taken from a bus surveillance tape, indicated Dykes boarded and immediately demanded children.

“I need two boys 6 to 8 years old,” Dykes, armed with a handgun, is heard saying angrily in the recording. “Six to 8 years old. I mean it. Right now! Right now!”

Poland refused. “I can’t do it,” he responded. Seconds later, Poland said, “Sorry, you’re going to have to shoot me.”

“How about I shoot a kid then,” Dykes replied.

Seth still using anecdotes as if they were data. Is there a technical name for this delusion?

Perhaps the psychiatrist's bible, the DSM-5 might have a reference?

Perhaps there's a reference for your delusion....

And every example is another datum disproving your claim that DGUs are rare.

DGU's

I did not say they were "rare". I said they were not as common as John Lott claimed. The NEJM reference shows that lives saved by DGU's is a much, much smaller number than lives lost due to hand guns being too available.

The net result of having so many hand guns in society is a much elevated murder rate, and a much elevated suicide rate. A lot of human lives lost needlessly.

The USA would be much, much better off without all those hand guns.

Liar.
The NEJM reference shows that lives saved by DGU's is a much, much smaller number than lives lost due to hand guns being too available.
And the NEJM is full of shit. Even the DOJ acknowledges at least 80,000 documented DGU's a year, which is ten times the number of "handgun murders" you keep citing.

Your opinion is noted.

No, it wouldn't.

And as I have pointed out repeatedly, those "DGU's" do not mean a thing. If there were 80, 000 DGU's which saved someone's life, then bearing in mind that only one in three Americans owns guns, that means twice the number who died due to not having a gun.

Inevitably, if guns save 80, 000 lives each year, then lack of guns would mean 160, 000 deaths. The total murder level is 16, 000 from all causes.

In other words, your argument is bullshit!
