All I do is run it through a large auto oil filter. The drawback to not doing the full bio-diesel thing is that I can only run with 100% veggie oil in warm weather. In chilly weather I have to blend it with kerosene, and in cold weather I have to go back to regular diesel.

That said, I've fucked a few fuel filters in the process of experimenting with pre-filtering processes, but it's sorted now.

Transesterify it with methanol/methoxide and remove the glycerol.

Yep, crop rotation is more cost effective than adding fertilizer. And soy beans are actually more versatile than wheat or corn.

Crop rotation would reduce the output enough that we wouldn't have the extra corn for ethanol, among other beneficial effects.
