I suspect the next iteration is that you must disrobe, put on the paper smock, and then you're sedated and placed in a coffin-like shipping container which is stacked with everybody elses shipping container into the hold of a cargo airliner, and you're awakened at your destination. Not only helps with terrorism, but it increases plane capacity and lowers costs.

Giving guns to everybody on a plane!!
I wonder if Seth actually considered the fact that, statistically, every plane load will have more than 1 person who is mentally ill. Now with a loaded gun. Yeah. Real smart!
Er, the point is that EVERYBODY ELSE will have a gun too, and if someone tries to use their one-shot pistol to harm someone, there's 200 other people to stop him.

An armed society is a polite society.
Good argument for everyone to be rude then
When only criminals carry guns the police know exactly who to shoot!

Seth's version of the mile high club is gunning down a terrorist, rather than the more usual screwing an air hostess...

Takes all sorts, I suppose...

I'm going to wait for the 4D model.

I will offer the 3D printed plastic gun that is reversed. Every American gets one. The thing is that, when fired, the bullets go back and take out the firer by simple natural selection. Only those willing to kill another human are affected. Should improve America no end!

I'm wondering how the world would be changed if someone did that. :ask:

If they are trying to hijack the airliner, absolutely, since the "victim" will be the hijacker.

I don't know about you, but I've never been on a flight where anyone tried to hijack the plane. Neither have 99.999999% of other passengers.

Which, Seth, is why your scheme is crap. Almost zero hijackings stopped, but thousands of casual or accidental killings with all those guns.

The principle remains. The more guns, the more murders.

You're making ass-umptions again, which you pull out of your ass. But the facts show that law-abiding gun owners are very careful when it comes to discharging their firearms at another person. There's no reason to believe that anyone on any flight will misuse their weapon. After all, doing so is a certain death sentence. The worst a terrorist could do is kill one person before he is killed, which doesn't make it worth it for the terrorist. They like force multipliers like bombs so that the kill ratio is not one to one. In a one to one stand up fight, the terrorists will lose because there's very few of them and many of us.

And the fact remains, more guns, less crime.
