Jim, you're just sore because you don't have Liberty like we do. Liberty being easy access to instruments of murder and mayhem, and the love thereof :swoon:

What kind of loony am I for wishing the French masses to be armed so we can do another revolution and kill all the corrupt bloodsuckers and pave the way for a better society?

Good grief. If every Frenchman were armed, he would spend all his days surrendering to every other Frenchman.

No. I am, in fact, a registered democrat.

Watch the whole thing.

Maybe you'll learn something, from someone who's day job is a school teacher:

Guess what? I'm a Democrat too. And a gun owner. First learned to shoot twenty years ago. :{D

And I think gun "culture" is profoundly sick.

Of course people immersed in it don't think it's sick. Why would they? Members of NAMBLA don't think they're sick either.

I love hickock45.
He rambles a bit, but he is knowedgable and humble and very unlike what anti-gunners think a gun nut is.

Please describe a "gun" culture.
Then explain what is "sick" about it.

There is science and craft to firearms.
Firearms provide many avenues of interest and enjoyment. They are a legitimate interest and legitimate interests can legitimately be passions as well. Nothing abnormal or sick about that.

What may be "sick" is judging people and their characters and their worth as members of society and as human beings based on their interests and passions--especially when those interests and those passions harm no one and actually contribute in positive ways to the quality of life of millions.

There are 3046+ items of beauty here--eye candy for enthusiasts. This is only one aspect of the pleasure firearms provide. I bought the three volume, full color, exquisitely professional and beautiful catalog, and paid only the shipping for it. I was able to get them because I am a member of a certain gun forum. If you think this is "sick" behavior, tell me why.

FIFY so there is no 'may be "sick" about it. Except if you are sick.
All rights have to be voted on. That's how they become rights.

So are people who collect bows and/or crossbows, and take archery lessons, and practice archery, and participate in archery competitions, part of something called an "archery culture"? And are these people "profoundly sick"?
