"Oz, the Great and Powerful". On a par with the original, content-wise. A few interesting concepts but it was obvious they updated the idea for this century. Easy way to kill two hours.

Looks good, and I've learned to trust your movie judgement. Are English subtitles available yet?Animavore wrote:This was a laugh riot.

I dunno. There might be a subbed version on torrentz or something.

Re: More good movies we've seen.

wow ....tour de force by Affleck - direct it, star in it, win Best Picture and bloody well deserved....good flick.
Once again you can't beat unlikely true stories as top notch film material.
and Yay Canada

and this will have you grinning - but bittersweet.
Superb in BluRay.

Re: More good movies we've seen.

There isn't much else worth watching on my DVR. I probably got the reference earlier. But when Thor called humans petty and puny it is was foreshadowing for his fight with the Hulk five minutes later. Avengers is deep like that.

Anyone see Cosmopolis directed by David Cronenberg? It's a weird movie with purposefully-done awkward dialogue. You kinda hate and love it at the same time, so it sorta deserves to be here. I totally spotted Paul Giamatti walking along the street in the background in that one scene.
