I think if you take the bible as a accurate historical text you'll be left wanting. The bible is the recording of oral history (not euphemism) of an ancient people and tbh not taken literally by most mainline denominations.

I'm very surprised at this series being aired on History. I thought they tried to maintain some objectivity in their programming. :?

Also the show sucks - just fucking boring.
