Eh? I was a sinner, and not repentant before I came to the conclusion that chretinity was just not worth it... too absurd by half, and not rewarding.

The word "sin" is practically meaningless as it could be whatever anyone wants it to be. Usually meaning "Things I don't like". Better to abandon the concept altogether.

Actually it doesn't, it just says that if you wish to live a proper Catholic life, you should try to abstain from sin, Onanism being a sin because it's (according to Catholic doctrine) done purely for personal pleasure and not for the purposes of procreation, which is what the Church holds is the purpose of sexual relations between a man and wife. But the Church also recognizes that we are but human beings, and will inevitably sin, which is why they have Confession and expiation of sin. So wank all you want, and then go confess and ask for absolution, which will be granted. Then go and sin no more.

Within marriage, Catholics can be quite a randy bunch. Plus, there's no prohibition on drinking.

If you don't like restricting sex to the marriage relationship for the purpose of raising children, don't be a Catholic. Nobody's forcing anyone to be Catholic.

Sex during marriage for pleasure is technically against Catholic dogma. Sex should be for procreation, they say, and that to copulate for the pleasure of it is a debasement.

You're right about the last bit, but we can go a bit further and take the position that Catholic teaching is both wrong and injurious. The repressive sexual dogma of Catholicism has caused many hundreds of millions of people quite a lot of angst and guilt, because people react to their natural feelings of sexual attraction to others with self-blame and self-loathing. People have, for hundreds of years, been subject to the teachings of the Catholic church, which they were raised to believe was sanctified by some god, and have thought that there is something 'wrong" or "evil" or "sinful" about their desire to have sex for pleasure, and their urges to have sex for pleasure. There are exceptions, like Pope Gregory IV's expiation on sex between infertile married couples, but the sex always have to be for a unitive and procreative intent or purpose -- i.e. - sex for pleasure's sake is still sinful.

Women pleasing their husbands orally -- sinful. Men doing the same for their wives - sinful. Wanking each other. Wanking oneself. Coitus interruptus. Foreplay. Anal sex. All that -- even in marriage - sinful.

Their rules are dopey. I, for one, won't limit myself to just not being Catholic, and then withholding all comment about it. If the topic comes up, I see no reason why I have to hold back my opinion on how silly I think their rules are.

Generally, yes they are, actually, depending on the denomination. But, mainline Protestants, like Episcopalians, Church of Englanders and such are generally cool with condom use, which implies sex for pleasure and intended not to produce offspring. Obvious intent to prevent offspring.

Extra marital sex is a no-no for all Christians, just about. But, pleasure oriented sex in marriage is usually not as frowned upon in the Protestant denominations. But, some Protestant denominations are pretty strict on that stuff too.

Many people have and still are being forced to be Catholic. Or at least have little choice in the matter with threats of cajoling, ostracism and even violence for daring to try to leave it. Though thankfully not in the West. At least not any more. My grandfather certainly couldn't of gotten away with anti-Church rhetoric the way I do without putting himself at risk.
