What future does religion have in Korea?

Post by FBM » Sat Mar 02, 2013 1:59 am

If you care to offer an onion up for a local newspaper, here's where to do it:

http://nwww.koreaherald.com/custom/readers.php

I wrote some stuff about the opiate of the masses and the violent history of religions.
"A philosopher is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat that isn't there. A theologian is the man who finds it." ~ H. L. Mencken

"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."

"It is useless for the sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while the wolf remains of a different opinion."

I guess it depends how long a period of time. In 7000 years they could all be worshiping some character from a book, or be a cargo cult after an alien species, perhaps even be devout meatslaves of a global digital A.I. which runs all the computerised weapons manufacturing facilities and is insanely vain, or they could all be dead.

The domestic Ape rationalises their stupidity and behaviour in all sorts of elaborate ways.

Wouldn't that be Jungaryism?

In 100 years, the whole planet will be worshiping small furry mammals and we will all be vegetarian. Milk will be gone too, as we steal milk from calves. Only chickens will remain as food, as they are not mammals. And eggs are edible.
