Which ones work for you?

I had the recent 2 CD John Lennon one. Did not work for me.

Is Ray still holding up?

Where I got back to Zevon is the Studebaker song. His son sings it, I do not have the Zevon album cut, only the demo.

I like a lot of the bands on the album anyway, and I love the Kinks, so it was a winner to me. :tiphat:

That figures, Brits and Kinky!

But seriously, we had a long discussion about the lack of US success for the Kinks. The conclusion was that it was too complicated lyrics wise and too British for Merkin kids.

Their concept albums are too quintessentially British, and yes, too talky for most folks here.
