Back in the 1990s I was visiting some friends in England and we went for a drink in the nearby village of Stony Stratford. The two pubs were called The Cock and The Bull and I think they were next door, or across the road. These pubs were once on a major road and apparently developed a reputation among travelers for the tall tales told by the locals. This made me go and reacquaint myself with Stony Stratford on Google street scape. Both pubs are still there and they are about 70 yards apart on the same side of the street - a bit further than I remembered.
