She was quite a girl. A lifestyle to emulate?
Pray, do not mock me: I am a very foolish fond old man; And, to deal plainly, I fear I am not in my perfect mind.

Blah blah blah blah blah!

Memo to self: no Lir chocolates.

I honestly can't remember the first album LP I ever bought; it might very well have been Weird Al Yankovic when I was 10. :shifty:
Once cassettes came out I made mixed recordings from songs off the radio - I don't recall bothering to buy whole albums of those tapes.
The first CD I ever bought (when I was 17) was Van Halen 1.

To this day I can't listen to that album without thinking back to my senior year of high school.

The first album I bought was on cassette tape. I think I got it at a Strawberries? Not sure if that store exists anymore.

I have that Weird Al record! I think I got it as a gift, though... :hehe:

Okay, THAT was hilarious. As soon as I clicked "play," Sprog came running, hopped in my lap and started bouncing and laughing. And when it stopped, he started to cry.

I don't think even Bjork (his apparent favorite until now) inspired such a delighted response.

Sprog loves Bjork and Gary Numan? Holy shit that's one cool kid

Anyway I'm trying to think. I was gonna say McCartney's Ram, but I believe my mother got that for me for my birthday or something. She says I loved the song "Monkberry Moon Delight" but I have no recollection of that. I mean I have a recollection of loving that song, along with the whole album. But I don't remember ever hearing it on the radio and telling her I liked it.

The first record I bought with my own money was probably ELO's A New World Record. Holy shit I loved that record so much. I still do!

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Fuck, I had to think about this one!

I am pretty sure it was this album - from a jumble sale! Before that, everything was singles.

And then this - my first "from new" album - with birthday money...

Then I "went punk" and never looked back! :eddie:
