The haired neanderthal theory never crossed my mind until I read about it. Asking why wouldn't a cold adapted hominid have fur is a valid question.
The next supposition that Neanderthal were yeti / big foot would be less surprising than a true missing ape related link.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

She does. It came up in the programme. Most European have some of their genes it turns out.
