I wouldnt call not wanting to get shot at cowardice. Sounds more like basic common sense to me. If the UK introduced a draft at some point and I was in the age range I wouldnt go near the fucking place either

I was asked by I didn't head to Canada. I said, "I don't have enough courage to face my friends who already went after running away myself."

My draft number was 256, over 80 points away from the draft window.

And, Biden's 5 deferments to avoid service in Vietnam and his 0 military service makes him what? 100% committed to the country? Cheney got 5 deferments and was called a "chicken hawk" as a result of his involvement in the Iraq War while having not served and gotten deferments. Biden voted in favor of the Iraq War. Biden explicitly argued that Saddam Hussein possessed chemical and biological weapons and was seeking nuclear weapons.

In 1998, Biden expressed support for the use of force against Iraq, and urged a sustained effort to "dethrone" Saddam Hussein. In 2002, as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he stated that Saddam Hussein was "a long term threat and a short term threat to our national security" and that United States has "no choice but to eliminate the threat". He also said, "I think Saddam either has to be separated from his weapons or taken out of power."

So -- let's get this straight -- you folks are cheering Biden because his SON served in Iraq? Christ on a flippin' bicycle...

Just addressing the first one -- the plant went on standby in April/May/June of 2009, not 2008, and it is still not "closed" to this day. It's on standby. Ryan did not lie about that.

If it's only on standby and not closed, and he accused Obama of closing it, then he did lie. I don't know the specifics on this on though.
