How did you find Rationalia.com?
Re: How did you find Rationalia.com?
I was asked in a witty post to do an intro post, and since wit gets me everytime, here it is. My name is za, second name zen, i come from the land of the slyme. That makes me sub human by decree, so i'm free to call any and all of you anything i so desire, as any objection arises from your privlege, and i originate from an oppressed minority, and therefore am due deference and special comsideration. Plus Being slyme requires me to spew provocative insults and engage in trolling behaviour, as the scorpion said to the frog.

You're safe guys. We don't ban people here (just temporarily suspend those that need time out) but we can permanently change your forum theme to Hello Kitty!

I object to your avatar xamonas, it is a trigger to me as it presents a close relative of a baboon. Infact i believe you intentionally chise that avatar to create an unwelcome environment for those of us who have been subjected to monkey shit flinging. If nobody else want to buy my trinkets, i'm off, though if you reconsider you can buy via my website at www.whyevermovementicanbeacelebrityin.com

You have to ask about the 'special' forums, by name, which nobody will share.Za-zen wrote:Okay, i object, i've been on this forum for more than five minutes, and it wasn't as advertised, i was promised rape and apologists, whats the deal? I have never chisen an avatar in my life! What do you take me for? (Apart from a rapist and a baby eater and a shit flinger, which are moot.)Za-zen wrote:I object to your avatar xamonas, it is a trigger to me as it presents a close relative of a baboon. Re: How did you find Rationalia.com?
Like a few others, I came from the land of those who waste time mocking the freefromthoughtbloggers (FftB) and the divisive (and Orwelian) totalitarian state they have constructed. I was a skeptic before I became an atheist and think their attitude is toxi to skepticism. That said, there's a hell of a lot more to me than that, but that's how I found this place. Most of the people I have seen are rational and willing to have discussions, and I think that's great. I've enjoyed a lot of the comments I've read. So I just joined up to participate from time to time. Other than the Slyme Pit, I have hung out on both the JREF forum (although not really posting anything) and Freethought/Rationalism Discussion Board. Interested in a lot of things, especially in the historical/mythical Jesus debate, as well as the usual skeptical stuff. I'm the token arch-skeptic at most places, and my friends and kids/coworkers at school know I've got ideas about all that stuff (and sometimes annoy the hell out of them, especially when I see shows like "Mermaids" or "Ghost Hunters").
I like my babies medium rare.
