Do you know, I am not sure I'm up to the sheer stupidity I am going to encounter. I have been looking for the right forum to sign up to and found one which seemed appropriate. In the general discussion area though someone (a Christian) raised the issue of races and how they had come about from Adam and Eve. A decent question I thought in terms of the mind frame of people who take the bible fairly literally. This however was the first response (pasted verbatim):
"I believe that Adam and Eve were mixed race. They could have both black and white children. At the tower of babel when all got different languages and went their won way, the darker skinned people went to the hotter areas. As simple as that. I hav'nt given it much more thought then that. Would you agree with me?"
