I'd imagine if I removed Warner Brother's copyright of a bunch of DVDs and distributed them I'm pretty sure I'd be guaranteeing legal action.
So, a record of the changes here could conceivably help Upper Branch, you and/or Josh some day then?
I don't need to take legal action against anyone. But it's interesting when Josh and Co wanted to take the case to federal court on the grounds of copyright RD and Co dropped those specific topics.

I'm just wondering about your interest, since I surmise that you might be a source of some of the info that LP is posting here.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

She isn't lying about being qualified for the job though like that guy is she? She is just gilding the lily as to what she actually does there the same as everyone else who has ever written a CV in history. The copyright stuff is a bit ropy but this is nothing.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

She's not 'gliding the lily' - she's completely lying through her teeth, needlessly and pointlessly, about something that is really fucking obvious - in a way that I find simply INSANE - and in her role as Executive Director of a fucking charity devoted to reason, science, critical thinking and evidence-based understanding.

You're entitled to brush that off as nothing - but I find it galling. I think it's taking the piss out of Richard and everyone interested in his Foundation, and what it stands for, to post such glaring bullshit in her bio on that site. And I also think that it's the tip of the iceberg - and I hope that Richard Dawkins takes a similarly dim view of her fabulating.

I don't know if you are 'ill' LP, but this does smack of an obsession. Sometimes obsession can be fruitful of course. Usually when the stakes are much higher than this though.

I think you should consider focusing what I know are your considerable intelligence and talents somewhere more productive.

Just my opinion of course.

I don't mind being accused of being 'obsessive' - but I have to say I do mind it being used as an ad-hom against me, along with insinuations that I'm not sound of mind, as a frankly insulting excuse to dismiss me and my arguments out of hand.

And again, I love how this woman can lie boldly in her RDF bio about something that is not only obviously completely false, and an insult to the intelligence of anyone involved in RD.net before 2010 - but something that is obviously a bad idea to lie about - given the whole bust-up with Josh Timonen - and when I quite calmly detail this salient point, I am the one with questionable sanity and integrity.

And this is coming from people who were willing to feel legitimately aggrieved at being rick-rolled and lied to during forumgate, so willing to feel pissed off at OBC's nonsense back at TAF, and quite willing to indulge the schadenfreude when it was announced that Timonen was being sued back in the day...

You see LP, people really don't give a shit about truth. People listen to "authorities" and the first thing that comes out of their mouths and accept it as truth. It's all psychology and in-group out-group BS. I'm sure people would love to boil this down to an obsession or illness (to marginalise you and have you silenced).

From what I've seen what you've pieced together LP you're definitely uncovering something that will all come out in the wash.

If people don't care, then people don't care LP and that's fine but don't let them silence you.

I think it's more that some people are genuinely apathetic, or don't see the significance, or anything untoward in what I've shown. They're entitled to that view - it's just the patronising put-downs and dismissals I don't like quite so much.
