28 days/weeks sucked. Seth should write a Zombie apocalypse movie.
Oh, and I researched how to start an Abrams tank just in case. It's a lot trickier than you'd think because the battery charge only allows a couple of attempts before it drains.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Yeah, the story sucked, but what a soundtrack, créme de la créme, Brian Eno, etc.! What starring: Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne!

I liked 28 Days Later.... apart from the last 10 mins or so, which really sucked. 28 Weeks was OK, but nothing special.

Think I might go see Men In Black 3 today :ask:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Ani is a movie snob. If he hates something I will rob little children of their lunch money to see it.

The contrast between characters is the best since those two guys ran around in that piece of shit sky blue Cadillac convertible.

I've been reading reviews and whether a particular critic likes the new movie or not, one thing they all agree on is that the second one, MIIB, sucked. I loved the second one :dunno: It was the one with the dog, right? I loved that dog :dunno:

I saw the new Muppet movie. It was cliched and obviously predictable, but who doesn't love the Muppets?

LOL! I did go look at a few reviews, and even the negative ones seem to agree its better than the second one. Since I thought the second one was at least ok, I'm definately game for the third.

Thanks to all who replied. :)

I don't let critics make up my mind but I do enjoy reading reviews, particularly the bad reviews. The bad reviews are often more insightful than the positive reviews. Sometimes the reasons a critic hates a movie so much are the very reasons I know I'll love it. Sometimes I'll agree with the criticisms but they don't end up bothering me as much as the reviewer. Other times I can see where the critic is coming from but think he may be a bit off base. And then there are those times where I wonder if the reviewer and I have even watched the same film.
The gist of most of the negative reviews for this were something to the effect that this newest installment was an unnecessary addition to the franchise but was at least better than the dreadful second film. I disagree. I loved the second. This one fell flat for me. It just wasn't much fun, nor was it particularly funny. It went through the motions, but the magic of the first and second (yes, goddammit, the second) was gone. Plus there were too many things about the script that bugged me, and one of the central characters was annoying as fuck (not to mention redundant- he served no real purpose, and wasn't the slightest bit interesting, amusing or appealing.
It's a shame because there were some genuinely clever ideas here, but the execution of those ideas rendered them lifeless.

p.s. It was worth the five bucks I paid to watch it, but when the DVD comes out, I'll be giving it a pass.
