I think it takes him two years to sweep through all the fora he's splurged his mind-rot on, do the vanity search and resurrect the relevant thread.

We'll see him again in 2 years.

I'll mark the calendar.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I use a quantum electroweak cosmological Omega point calendar, with a picture of a different amusing puppy for each month.

Pfftttt, anybody can perform thread necromancy... I've done it on occasion, and it requires being able to look in the older reaches of the forum, no great feat, and being willing to post on a subject that most everybody has forgotten about and hoping they will give a shit... no great shakes either... no miracle either way...

Interesting theory... I hope we really have that long to rest from his presence.

Ive taken one of his paragraphs, replaced "God" with "Mr.Jeremy Giddens", "Good" with "Rhubarb" and "evil" with "France". I don't think it makes any less sense....

It may be wondered why, since Mr Jeremy Giddens, 28 Laburnum Drive, Stourbridge can perform miracles using the electroweak quan-
tum tunneling mechanism allowed by the known laws of physics, He does not simply materialize a fully-developed sapient self-replicating spacecraft, thereby doing an end- run around the painful early stages of the evolutionary process. The reason Mr Jeremy Giddens, 28 Laburnum Drive, Stourbridge cannot do this is because this would create a logically paradoxical strange loop whereby the knowledge of rhubarb and France doesn't exist in existence, thereby setting the stage for the destruction of existence due to France being generated by a highly advanced society: as the universe's Taublike collapses in different directions require a high level of coop-eration among the far-future sapient beings, and hence a highly complex free-market economy of which could not exist if France were allowed to grow without restraint.

Nice one, Clinton.

Now get it published on the Theophysics website for extra plaudits. Who knows, you might even get a peer review from professor Tibler before that happens.

I can't recall you reposting a long post of nonsense text by James Redford.

During that collapse, the computational capacity of the universe diverges to infinity and environments emulated with that computational capacity last for an infinite duration as the universe attains a solitary-point cosmological singularity – with life eventually using elementary particles to directly compute on,[clarification needed] due to the temperature's diverging to infinity[clarification needed]. This singularity is Tipler's Omega Point.[6] With computational resources diverging to infinity, Tipler states that a society far in the future would be able to resurrect the dead by emulating all alternate universes of our universe from its start at the Big Bang.[7] Tipler identifies the Omega Point with God, since, in his view, the Omega Point has all the properties claimed for God by most of the traditional religions.
It seems a general principle of simulation that the simulation system is invariably more complex than entirety of the system it simulates.

For example, vibration of a string can be simulated by a sine function. This might seem to be a case of a simulation being far simpler than the thing simulated, but that is not the case. To simulate the string in its entirety, down to quantum interactions within the material of the string, and between the string and the molecules of the air, would be a simulation more complex than the thing itself. We sun simulations by discarding almost all the detail.

Simulating 'particle systems' is enormously computationally expensive. Getting CGI to animate realistic fluids, fabrics, hair etc, takes vast resources. Simulation of a single raindrop could be done to a level of detail that looks convincing to the eye on a typical PC, but it will lack the full range of properties and behaviour of a real raindrop.

If this is indeed a general principle then a universe cannot simulate itself in all its complexity, and certainly could not simulate additional universes to the level of detail of actual universes.
