Last time I did venison I pan fried it and served with mash potato that was seasoned with crumbled up black pudding, some winter veg and a raspberry jus.

It was very nice!

Farmer's market, Inverurie. An entire stall of game meat, once a month. And most butchers. You know where to live...

I'm quite sure reindeer bollocks are a special dish somewhere in this country (I have a memory of hearing about bear bollocks being served somewhere, too, at a price so high it was ridiculous, but that may have been just a tall tale). But reindeer dick? I really don't know, and I'm not entirely sure I want to find out...

You need to find a processor during the season, and order a quarter or half a deer in advance.

You can buy smaller lots, of course. Look now for a processor, some of them will still have frozen meat.

Yes, out here in California, eating game is regarded as something barbaric, generally, at least in the urban/"urbane" areas. The only time I've had game out here it was privately hunted ... and delicious. In my native state, Texas, you can find shops which sell venison, boar, and wild turkey, all of which are plentiful in the eastern part of the state. Hell, there are places around Nacogdoches where you can get alligator.

I likes me a woman who knows how to eat well.

And the furries as well. A mutually beneficial arrangement. At least, uh...that's what I herd
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.
