Did you not, just a few weeks ago, give Seth flak for suggesting Aussies should have more liberal gun laws? And didn't you also characterize his suggestion as "good ol' American arrogance", thus implying that Americans have a sort of peculiar and unique kind of arrogance that is absent from other nationalities?

So is not monumentally hypocritical then, for you to arrogantly tell Americans we should have more restrictive gun laws?

Good ol' Australian arrogance?

That's because everything Yerapeeins do is way better than anything Merkins do. Our media is just a paltry imitation of proper British media. :{D

Does this prove Martin attacked Zimmerman? No. Does it make it more likely? No. Does it make the Florida law less insane? No.

Good to see the merkins relying on the British to keep them informed.
Well, Tyrannical is relying on Daily Mail to keep himself informed anyway.

Good to see the limeys are still supercilious, self-important jackasses.
I was looking at the comments from yanks - 'Thanks gawd for the Daily Mail, our media is too cowardly' etc.

The Daily Mail seems v popular with merkins judging by the comments that originate from the US, a heady mix of frothy right wing platitudes and celebrity swimsuit pictures goes down very nicely in the land of the free.

Well, by the looks of it, the Daily Mail goes down rather well in the land of limey twats too. It's limey's second most popular paper.

Daily Mail is our own Fox News, thank decent legilisation that we have reasonable broadcast rules for TV but they don't apply to shit papers

I think you'll find that most Americans have never heard of it.

However, your post is yet another example of the pompous superiority complex that we get to hear over and over again from across the pond. It goes down nicely HERE? HERE? It's your fucking news source, does it "go down very nicely" in your country? It's straight from the home of the "Page 3" girls and famed British tabloids. Don't miss picking up your copy of The Sun and The Mirror!

But, by all means, judge the US by a few comments on some hyped up story with major racial overtones and undertones. That would be the smart thing to do.

Of course, I'm a Merkin. We just eat up half-ass British newspapers. Why read the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune, or Wall Street Journal, or a hundred odd other prominent newspapers, when we have access to far superior British newspapers?

And, of course your media are far superior. Why wouldn't they be? You have reasonable regulations to make sure they report the right stuff.

What you need is some "Guardian"

And the WSJ is crap. I took that when I was in the US for work last year. It's like something from the 80s.

Clearly. Any stiffly regulated British news source would straighten us out nicely.

Of course it's crap. How could it be otherwise? We don't have reasonable regulations here to keep it all in order.

That was only quarter-cocked.

How can I be expected to grasp it? I'm just a Merkin. We are brainwashed by our nearly unregulated television, and shitty British news sources. Now, excuse me while I pour myself a piss-like beer, make myself a sandwich with the one kind of bread we get in the States, add a slice of pasteurized cheese food unwrapped from a piece of plastic, use bland and watery yellowy mustard as a condiment, and eat an awful, tasteless "biscuit" on the side.

Quick, someone hand me the latest copy of a British tabloid, I just eat that up, too.

I think the Daily Mail probably brings a little sophistication to American lives and makes people feel a little bit English, something they'll never get from a homespun paper?
