Atheist Futurology - What Is Your 300AD?
Three hundred years After Dawkins published The God Delusion in the year 2296 of our calendar what is your vision of the advance of atheism? Will this 'new atheist' era be seen as a blip, like the early 80s new wave music scene? or represent a pivotal turning point only seen in retrospect? Will we have regressed into a new dark age of ignorance or do you see us overcoming the current social and economic malaise?

Our descendants will be wearing silver jumpsuits with giant boots and will live under the wise and benevolent rule of Richard Dawkins, as his head dictates global policies from inside a formaldehyde-filled jar.

Having set up the first Moon base in the 2020s and landed on Mars in 2030 -- Man has ventured out into the solar system. We have created massive solar arrays, harnessing the sun's energy in space and channeling the power to Earth. Fusion has been perfected as an alernative source of energy as well, and the internal combustion engine is a thing of the past.
Much of the Earth's food is grown in great protein factories, and animals have long since been spared our dinner tables. Vegetables are grown in massive farms, and in space-based hydroponic farms/factories.
The terraforming of Mars is continuing, although it is a centuries long process. The high speed probes are on their way to the nearest stars, and are expected to reach them within the decade.
The Abrahamic religions, like the Norse, Greek and Roman mythologies, are now only taught as historical facts. New religions have sprouted up as humans continue to seek the "spiritual" side of their psyches, but the idea of a personified "God" has long since gone the way of the horse and buggy.
