I liked Salo

Haven't seen neither of them. Though I read recently that Hollywood is remaking Martyrs and changing th ending to be "less nihilistic' - Wankers!

I'm sure when I recommended it to you on Ratskep, you said you found it dull.

Check Martyrs out, the ending is horrible but far from nihilistic, unlike HC2 which is just vile for the sake of it.

Ah. Good suggestions...These should keep me busy for a couple of nights...

Before I get into it too far, this is the unrated version. What's the difference between it and, I guess, the rated one?

Never mind. Watched it. It was good, but it would've had more impact if I'd seen it before A Serbian Film. It's still pretty early here. I'll get started on one of the others.

Last weekend, I turned one of my closer friends on to Antichrist, Kill List and A Serbian Film. I was explicit that he could watch the first two in whichever order he liked, but that he should watch A Serbian Film Last. The twit wasn't paying attention, watched Kill List first, then went straight to A Serbian Film. :fp: Now he's afraid to watch Antichrist.

Right now, I'm halfway through Salo or The 120 days of Sodom. I'm not a fan of romance films, but so far I'm making an exception. :ddpan:

Same here, I wasn't ready for that shit. I expected something lightweight since Serbian horror movies aren't really a big genre... I had nightmares for months.

Well if you've not seen it watch The House of 1000 Corpses first. It's a bit more patchy but still fun and the Devil's Rejects is kind of a sequel. I liked both of them quite a bit.

I watched The Devil's Rejects first and it became one of my favourite movies ever. Only after that found out there was a prequel. Nothing special about The House of 1000 Corpses, but it's still a decent movie.
So I also recommend watching them both, but compared to some movies mentioned in this thread, it'll be like watching Cinderella.
