I'm not black, but I don't think it actually matters. I recognise this as being the same as the reverse snobbery of the peasant class. The one that states that they are they salt of the earth and that those who come from that background who put on heirs and graces, or attempt to better their situation are somehow acting like the bourgeoisie. Its a repugnant servile defeatist "know your place" attitude by which they condemn themselves and their children to sanctimonious squalour.
