Almost nobody out of the dozens of people I've given it to get the right answer.
How do people not get this/how does it not make sense? 1+2=3. *puzzled*
EDIT: Oh, like if you were saying half of (2+2). That didn't even occur to me until I reread all the posts. I see how people might mess that up.

Oh, maths. I was bad at algebra, okay in geometry, and now I absolutely rock calculus. It is by far my favourite type of math. Derivatives are just so fun! I don't like integrals as much, and taking the area of odd shapes can be a pain, though. But my Calc homework was what calmed me down after trying to stuff my brain with history all year, it relaxed me which is kind of strange. I also have had a truly awesome teacher for pre-calc, calc, and will have him again for AP BC calc next year.

Does anyone write programs for their calculators? Like, TI-83's, 84's, ect. I have written several that are really helpful--quadratic formula, Heron's formula, distance, derivative at a point, distance between a pint and a line, angle between two lines and one called Life (type in anything and it will give you the answer 42. 'Tis awesome). I wrote one that will integrate things for me but it take about the same time to input as doing it the usual way, so I don't use it often.
All around me darkness gathers, fading is the sun that shone; We must speak of other matters: You can be me when I'm gone...

I am rubbish at maths. (Got an "A" at G.C.S.E, but never took it any further.)

Which since I have to deal with some quite complex algorithms at work, is a bit of a bugger.

10 Fuck Off
20 GOTO 10

And speaking of 'Maths Day', it's also Square Root Day today ('09/03/03) and the next one isn't 'til 2016.
Missed it again. Fuck!!! :nono:

I used to write bitchin stack and object-syntax routines for the HP48.

Azimuth of a line by hour angle observations on the sun or any known star.
Position by Polaris & time. Position by lunar altitude and hour angle.
Coordinate geometry
Tides by Fourier
Sound velocity problems
And a bunch of other shit. I can still make one work because I still have the HP48sx I bought in 1989, and because Droid48 fucking rules on an 8" tablet.

Once you go Reverse Polish, you never want to go back...

Reverse Polish sounds like a particularly obscene sex position...
