You are talking to the Man, man. And the Man tells you you'll get your experience, once you stop dumbing up to your street-cred poseurs, bad acid, and the medical model.JimC wrote:Jonesboy, I've dropped more acid than you've had hot dinners, and I never had a 'god' experience...

A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

Re: Jeff Randall - here's YOUR proof Jeff
I took my share of LSD and mushrooms back in the late 80's and early 90's.
I don't think the contents of my thoughts were more profound, but everything seemed more profound and significant. It was good for keeping a sense of wonder alive. But then occasionally I get the same thing spontaneously these days.
Once, after receiving a very generous puddle of liquid on my tongue (I thought the guy was joking, he wasn't) gain an intuitive understanding of how the Manson family came about and how easily it could happen to anyone who trusted the wrong person.
I ended up in the back on an Oakland, CA cop car before that night was over. I was giggling like a divine madman, having really grokked the idea that happiness is mostly an inside job.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
