I couldn't think of the best place to post this - considering that it isn't just a web-related issue - but am I the only one left to ponder a bit occasionally on what the fuck RDFRS actually does? I mean in practice. I can read the Mission Statement, but that doesn't tell me what they're actually doing.
They seem incredibly coy about advertising their activities, for an organisation with such great ambitions, anyway, I'll put it that way.

Well, that too - but that's kind of the point. It's been a kind of long road of disillusionment for me - realising how deep and how weird Richard's self-deception goes, for a man supposedly so devoted to reason and evidence-based understanding of the world.
And at some point in this road, after resigning myself to profound incompetence over on RD.net, and going 'meh' - I just asked myself - what the fuck does RDFRS actually do?
That event was set up between Center For Inquiry and RDFRS, and the Richard Dawkins Award is given out by the Atheist Alliance of America.
I expect RDFRS is more about funnelling money into organisations that do stuff, as well as helping sponsor the odd event. As befits them - as we well know by now that Richard loves nothing more than creating victims of the Peter Principle, and clinging fervently to them all the way to the embarrassing lawsuit. Passing along money is probably at least within their range of skills. Even if they can't manage to keep a reliable track of accounts and audit people properly.
Hitchens looks fantastic since losing weight. I always thought he looked so uncomfortable in his body. Too bad the source of his weight loss is...well, what it is.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
