Err, I've sort of been here for ages but haven't really posted. I was on RDF but again spent most of my time reading rather than joining in.
But anyway, I've decided to contribute a bit more with my inane shite, so here I am! It's all Bella's fault really.

I did a magic show at Xmas 2010... I thought it was just a kids party in a church hall, but it turned out that it was a fund raiser for the church roof repair. I don't have a problem with building maintenance and I understand that the organisers managed to make a fair bit of profit from my show, as well as from the usual stalls of second hand books and cakes etc. I was just going to do the show and not offend the 80 year olds.Gawdzilla wrote:Magician? So to end the show I did a water into wine trick, got applause and then I told everyone "It's not difficult, anyone can do it"
The applause died out a bit then, so I then dedicated the show to the greatest illusionist the world has ever known - and gave a jaunty little nod towards the crucifix.
I had already been paid - but I've never been invited back!!
As part of my show I always teach the kids a trick they can do at home - but I make them work for the explanation - guide them into asking the right questions about it so they question what they've just seen.
