And fails. Just like Trump EOs, these ideas need extreme vetting:

I'm not sure of the background to this. Isn't an ongoing review of addictive medication a good thing?

Ritalin is a low dose amphetamine. If you don't take it, yes you can sell it to your buddies. Popular "study drug."

No need to lump it with opiates.

I understand that, but the question remains: isn't an ongoing review of addictive medication a good thing? (Or is this to do with having to pay for the prescription every 5 days?)

It's kind of like them muslims. Too many drugs are lumped together as addictive or dangerous.

Ambien is a sleeping pill. At one time people tried it for suicide. It does not work.

Tramadol is an opiate drug. It's controlled. No addict wants it. It is unpleasant in overdose.

Opiates are addictive. Most patients need to be cut off of it soon. Terminal patients do not.

Doctors need some guidance. Maybe a board of other doctors.

forcing sufferers to have weekly or bi weekly doctor appointments (yeah, a new prescrition every 5 days, including the weekends) is not a good way to do that, all it does is make medical costs greater (and remember obamacare is in the process of being dismantled) and put undue strain on the sufferer's schedule, not to mention overwork the doctors... I foresee an epidemic of falsely dated prescription sheets, and ofhter frauds, not a good thing coming from this bill.

It's all fucking ridiculous. Just let people buy whatever drug they want, if they OD or have drug interactions or die it's their own fault.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
