Not really. It's about the subjective and the nature of our existence. It's been done to death for 2000 years, but it's hardly settled beyond the universality of physical phenomenon which, of course, is completely tangential to the point of the nature of existence within a phenomenological framework. I think Heidegger covered this - you're probably familiar with him - in his exploration of phenomenology.

Honestly, I try to avoid as much philosophy as I can. The philosophy of science I am interested in, and this is related to that. It's definitely not settled, and likely never will be. That's the rub of metaphysics.
