Iron Man 3

Post by Rum » Sat Apr 27, 2013 6:44 pm

Went to see it today. I think possibly the best super hero type film I have seen. A couple of great little twists and superb effects. Not great art but wtf - fantastic fun!

Go see it!

It's not out here yet.

I like Shane Black the director. He directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Downey. They do good work together.

It has 93% on Rottentomatoes, hope it stays there.

BTW - see it in 3D if you can. It doesn't always suit films in my view, but really does with IM3.

I really want to see this, but somehow I managed not to see Iron Man 2 or Avengers Assemble (or Thor or Captain America, for that matter), and I sure as hell won't watch films out of order!

Fortunately I found a solution this afternoon (and the code on the right was worth £5 off too, result)

Nah, I'm only kidding. I haven't seen it yet. I don't like first weekend crowds. Will see it in maybe two weeks.

Speaking of Iron Man/The Avengers etc...

Whedon also revealed that The Avengers 2 will feature a couple of new faces, saying: "I've got these two characters, two of my favourite characters from the comic book, a brother-sister act. They're in the movie."

My first thought was Captain Britain and Psylocke, but the latter was never part of the Avengers.

So it surely must be Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Those two are children of Magneto, however, which throws up the interesting and bewildering possibility of an X-Men/Avengers crossover.

"Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver", that's the word on the street.

And Ani, how much do you want to wait until I've seen it?

It would be hard to top Avengers with a sequel. They were allowed to set up all those cool fights between the Avengers (Thor vs Hulk) (Cap + IM vs Thor) in the movie. They can't really do that in the sequel and that's what made Avengers the First so awesome!

But.. Captain America died.. What's up with that? Did Thor resurrect him?
