Jennifer something and Marc something divorce after 7 years and two kids.

Why do these people marry among themselves? Only that....Geena Davis married a dentist. The plain spouse makes a wonderful support team and suffers almost no paparazzi.

Is it some equality thing, one cant be the lesser in the pair?

It's the hothouse effect. They circulate mainly amongst themselves and rarely get exposed to people outside of that rarefied atmosphere. And the fact that only someone else in a similar situation can 'understand' celebrity-ness and can relate from their own experience probably plays a large part. "Regular" people would be drowned out.

Now that I think of it, they dont actually raise their children either, nannies and tutors do it.

So marrying a commoner would be like marrying a servant.
