Master and Commander

Post by Clinton Huxley » Tue Jun 16, 2009 5:53 pm

How much do I love this film? I believe the answer is: More than is healthy....

"I grow old … I grow old …
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled"

AND MERRY XMAS TO ONE AND All!

Safe and sound at home again
let the waters roar Jack..

Long we tossed with a rolling main
now we're safe ashore jack

don't forget your old shipmates rolly rolly rolly rolly-ri-o!

I love it too...

You'll notice that a Constitution-class frigate whipped Aubrey butt regularly.

It's true - I once saw the list of toasts.
Yep, I even have it on DVD.
I'm not holding my breath for "Master and Commander 2: Trafalgar", but I can dream...

The details were sweet.

BTW, I have Interpreting Old Ironsides and The Iron Guns of Willard Park in PDF if you're interested.

You know what I keep thinking about this and the same person keeps coming to me.. I know he is a little young and too good looking but he has a sort of delicate nature about him that fits.. - Jude Law.. I will have to ponder on it though

With a dreary certainty, if Trafalgar is ever greenlighted, it will star Shia LaBoeuf as Nelson and be directed by Michael Bay and have ships of the line going up in titanic explosions about every 5 minutes. Or perhaps have some robots in it that can turn into ships biscuits.

It might be better if another one is never made......
