Hey

Post by Pseudopath » Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:12 pm

Sup,

I was interested in a forum centered around rationalism/atheism and a mention from the richarddawkins.net site sent me here.

So, hello everyone. I'm a thirty something humanist/existentialist/git, and contemptuous of any faith or irrational belief.
Not looking to argue specifically but following some of the "scattered" reports of the popes visit to the UK and his and other religious speakers "proclemations" am interested in discussing or venting regarding there content!

Anyway, I hope to have some interesting and chanllenging times here and mostly learn and experience the richness that evolution has to offer!

Be good to each other 'cause thats what we're evolved to do,

- Sudo.

Hi Sudo & welcome.

TBH you might want to try www.rationalskepticism.org - this forum is more off topic than what you might be looking for. For sure, come here and play, but if you're looking for evolution discussions RatSkep might better suit.

Thanks, you focused on some key words which was my intent. Thanks for the recommendation.

I noticed the recent accusation of modern athiesm being called aggresive and I find that rather irritating given I wasn't taught anything other than "theism" in supposed "RE" lessons.
Isn't exclusion a form of aggression, to deny all that you do not wish to be?..

Anyway, I'd like to think soon our education system will adopt a "Free Thought" (FT) lesson and not 'RE', to educate ALL the probables and give our children a reasonable decision.

Wishful, definately.

Anyway, thanks appreciate teh sentiments.

- Sudo.

Welcome, chum. As was pointed out, this is the asylum section of atheist forums. Although we do not generally lack intelligence we suffer from very short attention spans. And a liking for puns and euphemisms bordering on Tourette's Syndrome. So, be warned, and enjoy!
