Would you pay $1 a day?

Post by Coito ergo sum » Wed Jun 16, 2010 1:54 pm

“Is the American household willing to pay less than $1 so we don’t have to buy oil from foreign countries, so we can create millions of new jobs, so we can clean up our environment? I think the answer is going to be yes.”

I would like proof, however, that if we pass the Kerry-Lieberman bill that (a) we won't buy any more oil from foreign countries, (b) millions of new jobs will, in fact, come into being, and (c) the environment will actually become cleaner.

A little "evidence" please!

True. And, Kerry would just make anything up that suits his political purpose. Lying creeps.

I don't think Kerry will make things up, he's not that bright.

Why pay a dollar? Just cut the military budget in half. Why get citizens to pay more when the money is already there, just mis-spent.
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

Why not first require them to present evidence that their plan will actually work to achieve its stated goals?
