That's true, but it really isn't that it's "not illegal" -- it's that it's illegal if you "alarm, distress or annoy" someone else. It basically means that there is sort of a mushy, great, big grey area. It results in some arbitrary enforcement, and the police can ask you to cover up, and if you don't, then suddenly you're annoying and harassing people. I think the basic gist is that if you are on what is commonly considered a nude beach, you're cool. If you're out in the street, they're going to ask you to cover up, and if you don't, they'll send you down to the Old Bailey for a visit.Pappa wrote:It's not illegal to be naked in public in the UK.
