What are you playing now?
Re: What are you playing now?

Re: What are you playing now?
I'm playing Bioshock 2. Is this one harder than the first, or do I just need to get used to the controls and shit? Because I'm getting fucking creamed
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Re: What are you playing now?
Definitely harder. The only time I died in the original was an accidental suicide on my fifth playthrough.tattuchu wrote:I'm playing Bioshock 2. Is this one harder than the first, or do I just need to get used to the controls and shit? Because I'm getting fucking creamed
I've probably died 5 times already in 2. You really need the armored shell and the eve link upgrades. Anything to reduce damage and make getting health easier is a must.

Re: What are you playing now?
Yup, I've got those upgrades, but I'm still dying left and right. The thing is, I'm a Big Daddy fercryinoutloud! You'd think I'd be a little stronger, able to take some punishment. I'm in this one area now though where the enemies have tommy guns, and they're murderizing me. And, worse, I can't see where they're coming from! Half the time I'm being shot at and I don't even know from where! I'm like, "WHO THE FUCK IS SHOOTING AT ME?!!!" Also, I have a problem with the other Big Daddies. I'm protecting my Little Sister while she's siphoning the Adam out of those special glowing corpses, y'know? And, never fucking fails, another Big Daddy comes along and pokes his nose into my business. He gets into my line of fire, thinks I'm attacking him, and then kicks the living shit out of me. And, unfortunately, my Little Sister's progress isn't saved if I die. We have to start all over again.born-again-atheist wrote:Definitely harder. Oh, nothin fer nuthin, but I killed a Little Sister instead of saving her. Never done that before. I regretted it. Seriously, her reaction shook me up. I won't do that again.

Re: What are you playing now?
I finished Bioshock 2. Frustrated, though, because I'm kind of a completionist and I couldn't get into a room near the end on my way to the Pediatrics ward. I did see a code written on the wall of a cell in the cell block area that I'd just been in, but that didn't work here. Which leads me to believe there are two doors I didn't get through, though it seems I missed one of them entirely.
Whatever were in those rooms prolly wouldn't have done me much good that late in the game anyway. I was getting a shitload of Adam at this point for instance, but what was the point? Fat lot of good it did me five minutes before the ending

I don't remember that bit, but I played it and completed it too( PC version). Amazing game. Special!tattuchu wrote:I finished Bioshock 2. Re: What are you playing now?
In the cell block, some prat kept yattering on about me finding the code. Okay, okay, I thought, I found the fucking code. Whatever. Figured its use would become apparent in due course, only it didn't.Rum wrote:I don't remember that bit, but I played it and completed it too( PC version). Amazing game. I did like this game, but not as much as the first. Hard to top the first.
By the way, it is Tilda Swinton doing the voice of Lamb, right? It must be.

Re: What are you playing now?
Dungeons and Dragons online.........could be the reason I haven't been here much lately.
Re: What are you playing now?
Finished Company of Heroes.
Almost finished Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Fuckers had a buggy PC release so the final scene won't play out. The game won't officially end even though I completed the last level.
Now playing Brothers in Arms. Fairly... shit, to be honest. People talked it up but it was rather underwhelming.

Re: What are you playing now?
I replayed the game and found a hint for the code in one of those recorded messages you find laying about. It had to do with the paintings on the wall. I thought something was up with those paintings.Rum wrote:I don't remember that bit, but I played it and completed it too( PC version). Amazing game. Special!tattuchu wrote:I finished Bioshock 2. Anyway, I didn't kill anyone I didn't have to this time around. Massages my ego. And the girl, in turn, gave me a happy ending. Of sorts. I still died, while she sucked the juice from me. But I guess I died happy
Now I started Fallout 3, which to my understanding was an awesome game. But I don't like it. I can't carry anything I pick up. I get a message saying I'm overloaded. So what's the point of exploring and picking things up if I can't carry them? I can drop some things to lighten my load, of course. But which things? How the fuck do I know which things I'll need or won't need
And why does it take like a hundred fucking gunshots to kill an enemy

Re: What are you playing now?
In the Good Ending you're dying anyway so she takes your ADAM so you'll "be together forever".

Yeah. Plus she doesn't kill all the Little Sisters. Plus she saves her mum from drowning.Don Juan Demarco wrote:In the Good Ending you're dying anyway so she takes your ADAM so you'll "be together forever".
Why? You never got the good ending?

Drop the difficulty level, sell all your stuff except essentials, only pick up limited weapons in the field, but always pick up all the meds and ammo you can, and buy as much as possible too. (doesn't weigh anything, as good as currency, and useful!) Or get a house to store your junk in. Simples.tattuchu wrote: Now I started Fallout 3, which to my understanding was an awesome game. Re: What are you playing now?
Well I haven't died yet or anything, so I hate to drop the difficulty setting just yet.ficklefiend wrote: Drop the difficulty level, sell all your stuff except essentials, only pick up limited weapons in the field, but always pick up all the meds and ammo you can, and buy as much as possible too. What are the essentials
Wait, sell non-essentials? How
A house
And why do I have to kill all the doggies I meet? Why I can't I make one be my friend? I like doggies
