Smoking while moving military explosives is so not safety conscious...

Typical Slavic MO, though.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
A new study has discovered that smoking while moving military explosives is a typical Slavic MO. Professor Theophrastus de Smarthalf, head of the Department of Phrenology at Vichy University, announced his team of scientists have found the underlying reason for it: A lack of safety consciousness. The part of the brain responsible for Cautiousness, normally found nestled directly below the part responsible for Approbativeness in almost all fully human individuals, is either underdeveloped or missing altogether in the Slavic peoples.

I see rather an expression of the smoker mentality. One of those 'smoke 'em if you've got 'em' moments. In this instance akin to the condemned person's one last smoke. If things go horribly pear-shaped in the process, at least he had his cigarette.

Paracelsus was a pioneer. The phrenologists were retrogrades.

Well, he still wrote quite his share of unscientific hocus pocus...
as for phrenologists, well, bad science is woo, and I never got how they could map things out so precisely when they should have noticed that their results were not what could be expected...

Paracelsus did indeed. Still, the medic was a pioneer in his field five centuries ago.
You do realise that I used phrenology in order to ridicule your statement in this post, don't you?

Man, just looking at your avatar, I know you're born delinquent, a natural lowlife, and a danger to society, phrenology and physiognomy would only tell how right my assessment is.

Elsewhere
He: The West has a vested interest in Russia losing in Ukraine or at least paying very dearly for their invasion - delivering weapons and other support is cheap in comparison to risking Putin using the troops he no longer needs in Ukraine to threaten the Baltics
Me: All he needs to do is to get Trump II elected. Then he has 4 more years to freely terrorize all his neighbors.
It has to be a populist Republican who capitalizes on the new Trump class of voters to bring down government. Nothing related to Trump, just a new improved autocrat and the type that appeals to the Trump base. Trump was well on his way to strip down the EPA etc. Part of this "small" movement is to pull our military out of the world. We will just use submarines and air craft carriers to keep our seeming superiority.

You got 33.3% of your assessment right. I probably couldn't do much better by just looking at your avatar. After reading most of your 37992 posts I am better informed, though.

we HAVE TO be racist, or we'll be overrun and overwhelmed.

I'm racist too, for I do the same, but I don't feel any guilt, I'm not normal I guess.

So, it seems I plead guilty to the charge, should I be ashamed of not trying to hide who I really am?
