One can of course oppose policy and its results, however tangential some of those connections might be. She thought when she took the job that there would be a groundswell of support for Brexit. She called an election hoping to have a huge mandate, but she couldn't even get a majority, This should've been her first hint.
Then there was the EU telling her she couldn't actually have a Brexit in name only.
Then there were the losses in the Lords and Commons, these were not subtle hints either.
Then she thought that she could get the Brexiteers on board by threatening No Brexit.
When this failed she tried to threaten the Remainers with a "No Deal".
Then there were the local elections.

Of course BoJo has the same mountain to climb and will fail.

I agree with last sentence totally. There is underlying control by those who still have it; the Brexiteers. They are the establishment. Whatever happens in UK elections they are the hidden power and always have been. Remember the majority of mp's are products of the "old school networks" and that is including Labour as well.
They also have the bastion of the House of Lords.
