In any sane country being caught carrying a mask would be sufficient justification for locking you up for conspiracy to riot
Sane (AKA civilized) countries apply criminal justice only after an individual commits a crime.

Is it true you can't have a knife in hand on a public street in England?
Sane Oppressive countries consider carrying a weapon to be a crime in the first place (2 years for a knife , 5 years for a gun). That the thing with the meaningless concept of 'law abiding citizen' it somewhat depends on what the law is

Forget a knife in hand, its illegal to carry many in your pocket. Even when the knife is legal the burden of proof is on you to show that you have a good reason to carry it. I have kitchen knife on me because I might have a sudden urge to cook is not going to work
And it is claimed that it is we, in the US, who are fearful.
You people are well and truly indoctrinated into thinking being servile is civilized.
What's servile about not wanting wankers to be carrying knives?
That's how I like it, I wouldn't have it any other way.
In this country, it's only wankers that want to carry knives. And the same goes for the US.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Wanking with a knife in your hand sounds a little risky to me...

Complete bollocks as usual. Ironic that people who are slaves to their guns, some so much so that they apparently feel the need to carry them around with them during their daily lives, should think not having them being the norm is servile. Yer man whose death caused all the trouble going on now which Seth thinks he needs his boom sticks to save him from would still be breathing today if your police weren't allowed to carry guns everyfuckingwhere. Law enforcement that's routinely armed and able to blow you away at any point and it's us who are under the thumb. You couldn't make it up.
Don't be afraid of what they'll say.

I carry a knife every day and have done so for years. It is quite handy and I don't have to provide justification to anybody, including the police. I can strap a hunting knife to my belt and carry it every day, even into places I can't take a firearm. I doubt anyone would bat an eye. They'd probably think I was on my way fishing or something.

Giving it some thought, I have objects that could be used as weapons--including a tactical pen (yeah, pen, the kind you write with. It has a little handcuff key in it too)--in my backpack. I carry these things because they are handy and I want to have them to hand should I need them. I don't have to justify that to anybody either. It just is. I don't have to hide them and LE isn't looking over my shoulder. They are just daily kit.

These are examples of things I can lawfully carry on my person as long as they are in the open and not concealed (say in a pocket.): dirk, dagger, pistol, revolver, slingshot, sword, billy, knuckles made of any metal or hard substance, knife having a blade 4 inches long or longer, razor, not including a safety razor, or other deadly weapon.

In the State of Montana objects carried in a purse or backpack or bag are not considered concealed, only those things carried on my person--AKA inside the waistband, in a bra or foundation garment, in a pocket, etc.

In order for me to carry brass knuckles or a sap or throwing stars on my person, that is in a pocket or hidden in my bra etc, I need a concealed carry permit like I would for a handgun that I would carry concealed. Montana is a shall issue state, that means they must issue unless they have documentation showing that I am ineligible. Ineligibility coincides with those questions on the 4473 (firearms transaction record) form that if you check yes disqualify you.

Montana is Constitutional open carry. I don't need a permit to carry any weapon openly. And if I have a CCP and have a handgun under my clothes but it peeks out or is outlined, that is not illegal. That occurrence does not invalidate my permit. And yet we are not killing ourselves left and right. How can that be!?

Well actually you are, in the sense of a rate of firearm murder 4 times other Western countries...

Not afraid really because people like Seth and Gallstones would be spending most of their lives in jail here

It's 5 years in jail for a gun but conspiracy to commit terrorism carries a life sentence (so you had better have a good reason to have a gas mask)
When only criminals carry guns the police know exactly who to shoot!

Not needing a weapon is a fairly good indication...

Not needing a weapon is a fairly good indication...
Not needing the ability to threaten force is an even better indication, sensible countries basically leave that to the specialists like the police.

If you need to even think about self defence whether its with a firearm or with fist then there is something serious wrong with your neighbourhood and its time to move.

I remember once being told that somewhere was safe to go as long as you were 'careful'. Sorry sort of looking both sides of the wrong when crossing I don't go anywhere where you need to be 'careful'

We are traveling and happened to stop in a city with a game convention. One of the gamers came to breakfast in a costume but with a handgun as well. Is he allowed to open carry to a games convention? I would not think so.

Unless the gun is a toy and part of the costume.

Looked real. Why would anyone open carry a replica? Puts you in danger.

Why carry a real weapon as part of a costume?

Did it at least fit in with the costume or did we have a case of douchecarrier?
