I think it's a generational thing. Anyone over 40 tends to be resistant to the idea, especially men. The 20 and 30 something crowd is shaving it down.

Once you shave it, it's a piece of cake to keep up. Just a few swipes of the razor in the morning, and it's all good (at least from my perspective as a male). I use the best razor money can buy, though - you know - those Quattro razors with the lubricating strip and plenty of shaving cream. Never nicked once!
